A great deal has been made of the possible presidential run of former Florida governor Jeb ( John Ellis) Bush. So much hand-wringing from conservatives it seems like he has already been given the Republican nomination. However, there is much more drama to live through before we get to that point. The Rubio factor is something that yet to play out.
We all saw things play out when Rubio ran for senate. Marco Rubio was in a permanent also-ran status until two things happened. First, then Republican governor Charlie Crist, lost his mind and decided to leave the Republican party. Second, Jeb Bush and the Bush “machine” fired up the resources that were needed to make Marco Rubio a star. Marco Rubio went from speaking a the Plant City Tea Party rally of 150 in the rain to attending Bush sponsored fund raising dinners. A step up? You bet! Marco went from being introduced by unknown internet radio personalities to the brother of and son of former US presidents. A step up? You bet!
So you can the coming drama. Will the student, take the teacher. Will the protege` take on the master? Whatever happens Florida will be on the national stage ready to “take all of the air out the room” making everything else irrelevant and uninteresting. Stay tuned to Florida Dash for continued coverage of the Rubio Factor!
