The sucess of any endeavor is measured by the initial expectation. Now Florida has re-elected all of the top state elected politicians, the question has to be, what now? What are Floridians expecting from Governor Scott and his political team?
So often there is failure not due to lack of effort but the expectations are not reasonable. Do conservatives expect Scott to fight and repel Common Core? Because t seems like with the name change from Common Core to Florida Core Scott is not going to mount any real challenge to the further implementation of Common Core into Florida schools. Will this cause Florida Republicans and Conservatives to sour on Republicans in the presidential elections?
There seems to be no will to fight Obamacare in Florida, in fact no one is even talking about it anymore. So will this lack of effort ( change in strategy/focus) be considered failure? And who will be made to “pay” for it? It is still very unclear what is the focus of Scott’s second term.
Are issues such as off-shore drilling, tax breaks for film makers, school funding, immigration all dead issues to use to measure Republican success?
