John Thrasher Leaves Scott Campaign To Become Top ‘Nole

John Thrasher called Governor Rick Scott and tendered his resignation as chair of Scott’s re-election campaign as soon as he learned the Florida State University board of Trustees named him the next president of Florida State University. Thrasher had already pledged to step-down if he were named to to Seminole Nation top’s spot. Thrasher will not be installed as president until November 6th so Thrasher decided to return to the Florida Senate.  He is in a campaign himself. It is likely that the voters in his district will elect his replacement in January or early spring of 2015.
